ZYNTHR — Privacy Policy

Effective: 17 July 2026 · Applies to the ZYNTHR website (zynthr.in) and the ZYNTHR Android app (in.zynthr.app), operated from India.

What ZYNTHR is

ZYNTHR is a college-verified social platform for students in India. Accounts are verified using an official college email address so members interact with genuine students.

Information we collect

Account data: your name, college email address, college name, and the optional details you add to your profile (photo, bio, gender, interests). Content you create: posts, polls, comments, messages, photos and files you share, group and community activity. Technical data: a push-notification token for your device (so messages and calls can reach you) and basic diagnostic logs when something breaks. We do not collect your precise location, contacts, or advertising identifiers, and we show no ads.

How your information is used

To run the service: verifying your college email with a one-time code, showing your profile to other members, delivering messages, calls and notifications, operating campus feeds and communities, and preventing abuse (reports, blocking, moderation). We do not sell your personal information.

Payments

Premium subscriptions are processed by Cashfree Payments on our website. ZYNTHR never sees or stores your card, UPI or banking credentials — we receive only a confirmation that a payment succeeded, its amount, and an order reference.

Where data lives

ZYNTHR runs on Google Firebase (authentication, databases, storage, notifications). Data is encrypted in transit. One-time verification codes are delivered by email and expire quickly.

Messages and deletion controls

You can delete your own posts and comments, delete messages for yourself, or delete a message for everyone (it is replaced with “This message was deleted.” and its content is removed from our servers). Blocking someone prevents them from messaging or calling you.

Deleting your account

Open ZYNTHR → Me → Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile and disconnects your data from the service; cleanup jobs remove presence, tokens and related records. If you cannot access the app, email us from your registered college address at zynthr.otp@gmail.com and we will process the deletion.

Age

ZYNTHR is intended for college students aged 18 and above.
